My next entry in Advanced Readings in Dungeons & Dragons for Tor.com is Fritz Lieber's Fafhrd & Gray Mouser. I first read the Lankhmar books a few years ago; this Tor.com article is largely about the series as a whole, but for the sake of argument & discussion I re-read Swords Against Wizardry as my official example, since one of the stories in that collection, "Stardock," is my favorite. As usual, I don't have a lot to say here-- I wrote it all on the original post-- but I wanted to cross-post a thumbnail for indexing purposes.
